24" blade, 8 TPI, 4 bolts
Marked on the blade: H.D. Thompson & Co., Extra Steel, Warranted, Victor, Malone, N.Y.
Marked on the medallion: Warranted Superior with an eagle
26-7/8" long x 6" high x 1" thick overall including the handle
It is undamaged overall with finish wear to the handle, some paint spots, scratches, etc, and a decent patina to the blade as shown.  It is quite sharp.  From a local tool collector estate.
H.D. Thompson & Co. was a wholesale and retail hardware merchant in Malone, New York, established by H.H. Thompson in 1840, succeeded by his sons H.D. and R.R. in 1880, and incorporated in 1904 with H.D. Thompson the president of the company.  They were in business until at least 1936.
