SUPER RARE! Vendo 242 Coke Coca-Cola Machine 5 Cent ALL ORIGINAL COOLING TO 32. Condition is "Used".
One of the rarest machines around. The Vendo 242 is one of the largest machines made. They were common in factories when many sodas were needed. It holds up to 242 bottles to vent and has cooling drawers for 88 more bottles.
This has not been restored and has been sitting a long time. It’s all original and even has the original drip pan, face cover for the wires, bottle catcher, and money box.
To test the machine, I just wired a plug from the on off switch and the compressor fired up. I had it in for about an hour and it cooled to 33 degrees.
The coin mechanism is complete but is not working properly.
The bottle rack does turn when you hit a reset by the on off switch.
This will need all new wiring from top to bottom. Main thing, it does cool, the rack turns so there is potential to get this baby back to life.
All the locks are missing, some rust on the bottom but no other work has been done. Original decals.
It’ll be great just left alone or to restore.
This is one machine that 99.99% of your friends don’t have.
